The Sterling Wife's Exit

Clara, daughter of New York's real‑estate nouveau‑riche, enters a marriage‑of‑convenience with Richard from Boston's old‑money family. Plagued by her husband's coldness and in‑laws' class prejudice, she sees her son Leo turn against her, while Richard's subordinate Victoria sows discord. A doctored family photo triggers the showdown. Clara renounces wealthy privileges and leaves the mansion. Remorseful Richard begs for reconciliation and even Leo pleads for her return, yet Clara refuses to go back, cutting loose her painful past to start a new life.
