Paige, a struggling aspiring musician, dreams of getting into the Royal Academy of Music, but the application fees are impossible. At the homecoming party, she plans to confess to her crush Vera—but in her nervous rush, she knocks on the wrong door and finds Talia, the star cheerleading captain, just after discovering her boyfriend Derek's infidelity. Talia proposes a fake-girlfriend contract: Paige pretends to date her until the National Cheerleading Championship. In return, Talia helps Paige join the music club and raise funds.
